This clearly indicates that all his ramblings and calculations were a guess. It's a good film to watch about a failed psychopath killer, just don't take it too seriously as the film suggests.

The creature design, voice, and personality set them apart. They have a unique background history. This history explains how they came to be, most, if not all, unless I'm mistaken.

When they shot the ending scene with the view of Genovia and then "Miracles Happen" by Myra started to play in the background, it was an icing on a cake; it captures the essence and emotion of the film and sums up the whole story.
