Table of Contents
Introduction
This is the third installment in the Terrifier franchise, not counting All Hallows’ Eve (2013). This is probably the best of the three that was released so far. The bloodiest, messiest k*lls but it had the best story so far. Directed by Damien Leone.
“After surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother struggle to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. However, just when they think they’re safe, Art returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare.”
Characters
David Howard Thornton (as Art the Clown) have embraced his character through and through. Having acted as Art for the three films, he continued to bring his sinister smile with jolly and goofy gimmicks. He would always make you think “maybe he’s not going to off this one?” But we all know how its going to end.
Samantha Scaffidi (as Victoria Heyes) was awesome. She was demonic in every way and delivered her role with precision.
Surprisingly Good Plot
Terrifier 3 is like the culmination of both 1 and 2. Everything that has happened with the first 2 leads up to here. It delved so much deeper than just senseless massacre.
Tasteful Costumes and Effects
In modern horror, Terrifier might have the best costumes out there. Its original and well made. Instead of making a colorful clown, they went back to the basics of black and white and it became iconic. Black, white and red blends well, so Art says.
Final Thoughts
If you stopped watching the Terrifier franchise because you thought that the first was just senseless k*llings and that the following installment would be the same, think again! Terrifier 3 dives so much deeper into the lore of Art the Clown. The effects are awesome and yes, Terrifier 3 lights up multiple trigger warnings, so be warned.
