Crawlspace

A family man finds himself trapped in the crawlspace of a remote Oregon cabin where ruthless poachers have stashed their gains.

Introduction

Crawlspace is really made for streaming release and streaming release only. I don’t think it would perform well on a theatrical release. What you see on the trailer is what you’ll get. There’s not much surprise twist that’ll blow your brains out. Directed by L. Gustavo Cooper.

“After witnessing a brutal murder in a cabin, a man hides in a crawlspace while the killers scour the property for a hidden fortune. As they draw nearer, he must decide if the crawlspace will be his tomb or the battleground in his fight for survival.”

Characters, Music, and Effects

There’s not much to write about the characters. The cast was adept in their respective roles. Though some of it, and it may be according to the direction, they act excessively to the point that it becomes silly and hard to take serious.

The soundtrack wasn’t all that interesting as well. Sound effects was okay, no jump scares whatsoever.

Annoyingly Simple Plot

The plot was too simple and it was kind of annoying. Pretty much what you see in the trailer, that’s just it. Don’t expect any complicated twists and genius turnaround of events—although they attempted to make one but it was stupid and not really all that shocking to be honest.

Final Thoughts

Its a mediocre thriller movie, very basic and nothing that would make me do a second watch. Everything was left on the screen, there isn’t anything that would make you think otherwise—which I think is something that’s lacking in modern movies. I’d honestly watch Cocaine Bear (2023) five times continuously than rewatch this again.
